Last Friday, May 19, I had the opportunity to meet with Christa Thornsbury, the head librarian at Welch College. Welch College is a 4-year Christian college located just outside of Nashville in Gallatin, TN. The mission of Welch is to educate leaders to serve Christ, His church, and His world through biblical thought and life. With 40 programs of studies, Welch College offers associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees for dorm and commuter students.
Welch College has a strong Intercultural Studies program that prepares students to go to other countries and carry the word of God. For that purpose, I presented Mrs Thornsbury a copy of my book, Muslim Mechanics, The View From Behind the Curtain, as a reference guide that can be used by their students.
Muslim Mechanics is a factual and informative resource guide for Islam written for non-Muslim Western audiences. It was recently awarded as a Finalist in the General Non-Fiction category of the 2023 Next Generation Indie Book awards.
